Repurposing ~ Cute Pen Holder!

Fern Smith's Classroom Ideas - Repurposing a Flower Pot to be a Cute Pen Holder!
Pen & Pencil Holder!

My family {OK, not the 14 y/o boy} love going to garage sales & thrift shops. We don't have much time to do it, but the pretty weather is hitting Florida and the days are getting longer, woooohooo! So we'll be outside more. This cute little flower pot my daughter got for 25 cents at the Salvation Army. We scrubbed it with hot water and then she put it on her desk to be a pen holder. It is perfect for Easter. I asked her, "What are you going to do after Easter?" She is going to turn it around and hide the bunny against the wall, then it will just be flowers!
Here is another one of my favorite REPURPOSING DIY. My students this year actually stroke Mr. Turtle's head when they borrow an eraser out of it! :)

I went back and read my old post about Leprechaun Pudding, I can't believe I've been writing this blog for over a year! :) What I wrote last year is the same for what I will do this year...

This is my very favorite activity all year! We make Leprechaun Pudding! White powder, milk and the all important magic words {I always say...."Someone's poisoned the water hole!" from Toy Story...for some reason, it kills them!} thing you know....Ta-Da ~~~ Green Leprechaun Pudding with GOLD NUGGETS! It is actually Jello's Pistachio Pudding which comes in a bag completely white and the white powder hids the nuts. When the milk is added they get green pudding and the gold nuggets! There is nothing.better.than.hearing "I feel bumps in mine!" "I have yellow lumps!" "I have gold!!!" Then finally, "I have Leprechaun Gold!!!"
