A Late Valentine's Day Idea ~ Great For Birthday Party Invites!

How Cute Is This?
This Cutie-Pie's Mom works with me and she saw this idea on Pinterest. Finally! A Pinterest idea that turned out great, if not better, than the original pin! I just had to share this with you!! I know it is late for Valentines, but I thought it would make a WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY PARTY INVITATION or POOL PARTY INVITE, all sorts of invitation ideas because what child wouldn't want an invite with candy attached?!?!
Instructions:
1. Take the picture with your child's hand outstretched.
2 On your computer add text to the downloaded picture!
3. Send to Walgreens, Wal*Mart, CVS, anywhere online.
4. When you get the picture, cut a small slit at the top and the bottom of the hand.

I ♥Love, ♥Love, ♥Love Award Time!

Fern Smith's Classroom Ideas - Spreading love and building relationships with your student awards.I Put ♥Mrs. Smith Pretty Much on Everything!
I love awards, I love award ceremonies, I love seeing a group of boys and girls holding up a piece of paper like it is a million dollars and smiling a big, missing-toothy grin at the parents! Even cuter, one certificate is usually upside down!!!

Fern Smith's Classroom Ideas - Spreading love and building relationships with your student awards.

I also love filling out awards, I put a heart next to Mrs. Smith on everything. I love teaching and I love kids, that's why I go every, single day ~ but the kids need to know it too! Our school gets really nice, really pretty awards & I write ♥Mrs. Smith on every, single one! Even when there is no line, I squeeze it into the corner. Any chance you get to build a relationship with your students you need to take it.

So many teachers don't understand, the more work you put into the relationship, the less work you will have to put into discipline! When your kids love you and know that you love them, they will bend over backwards to be good for you ~ I guarantee it! The extra time spent writing "♥Mrs. Smith" on all the awards is ten-times better than having to write an office referral.

I would just ♥love it if

My Teacher of the Year Joy!

One of My Signs ~ Now In My Classroom!
I love my school! I love my team!  I've been pretty low-key about being Teacher of the Year, but last Friday had me in tears! Happy Tears! My team had the third graders write a book to give to me about being Teacher of the Year.
Each child came to the front and read their pages to me, I was laughing, smiling, crying...I was a great big mess! It was wonderful! They were laughing with me and cracking up that some of the pages were so moving that I was crying and laughing at the same time! :)
My team gave me flowers from the students.
It was wonderful!
My school has also made me feel so appreciated...
The district had a wonderful evening of recognition for all the teachers...
That's Me and Mrs. Stokes, our Support Staff winner.
When we stood up our school went wild! It was amazing, they had signs PFA had made and they were screaming and yelling! I love my friends and my family! It was great!

It is silly, but my favorite part is my parking spot! :)
