But first, a word from our sponsor... Queen Lilly LOVES this time of year. If you're new to my blog, Lilly is our rescue pittie from Texas. She came to us battered and bruised, and carrying a litter of 16 puppies....Lordy! We kept four puppies and ten years later, they are living the live fantastic, spending their retirement years in Florida. Until I dress them up, oh, the abuse!
When I was in the classroom, my students loved the silliness of my dogs. I would dress them up, take a couple of pictures, print, laminate and use them at my writing center. This was even better when I would take one of the dogs up to my classroom on a Saturday, for example, this is Scottie McHottie on the couch in my classroom.
Scottie, thinking of moving full time into the portable.
Lilly playing board games!
Her daughter Anna hoarding school supplies.
Then a movie I can't wait to see and with only 16 days to go....STAR WARS....
So now that it is closer to the holidays, the kids loved it when I would dress them up in all sorts of Christmas fun! When everyone is wound up, pop Lilly up on the screen and tell them Santa sent her to check on them. Or take pictures of your beloved pet. It gives you a second to catch your breath, it gives them a minute to get their act together for you!

As many times as I've seen Lilly in your pictures, I never knew her story until now. 16 puppies -oh, my!! Who needs an elf on your shelf when you have a Lilly on your screen, right?
ReplyDeleteLinda at Primary Inspiration
Hey Linda, thanks for stopping by....Yep, we love the expression, "Who saved who?" We couldn't imagine our life now without all our doggies, but it is getting sad as they are all turning 10, 11 and 14-15ish... :(
DeleteHave a great night,
Fern
Love this post! Such creative ways to use your doggies in the classroom. I know the kids must love it (and your dogs, too, of course :) !
