One of my favorite tips for phonics is having students tap their hand/arm for each phoneme as we sound words out. Helps for writing too.

ReplyDeleteI just got and am reading The Decoding Solution: Rime Magic by Sharon Zinke. I hope that teaching the common rimes will be my best phonics tip.
