Somebody Wanted But So Reading Strategy
The Somebody, Wanted, But, So reading strategy is a terrific way to teach children to THINK while they read! Go figure, read and think at the same time! What will teachers want next?!?!
Showing their work in math maybe....
These large paint sample cards make a great book mark for your students to make, to remind them to think about what they are reading at home. Many teachers use graphic organizers like this one,
but children are not going to go home, curl up with a good book and a warm graphic organizer in the afternoons,
not.going.to.happen!
But if you make these book marks with your students, they might just use it and, if we're lucky, remember the strategy too!
This is such a great idea! Thanks for sharing.
