Today's QUICK AND EASY ART ~ Yarn Bull's Eye Project!

This is perfect for a Summer Camp or VBS. Once you teach the children how to make them, they can make quite a few and work on it during those few free minutes in between activities.

My children made these when they were little and like them so much they turned them into Christmas tree ornaments!

Materials:
Two craft sticks, any size, any color
Any color yarn, but multi-color makes the bull's eye effect
Scissors
Glue
Directions:
Glue the two craft sticks together to form a cross.
Wrap the yarn over and around one of the sides of the craft stick. Then wrap it over and around the next 'leg' turning the cross 90 degrees.
Each time pull the yarn tight and push it towards the center so none of the stick is showing.
Keep wrapping and turning until most of the sticks are covered.
Cut the yarn and tuck the end under, adding a dab of glue.

  1. Very cool! I wonder how I could connect this project to a book? I just know there is a book out there just waiting for this project! :)
