A Lion for Idioms for Today's Quick and Easy Art Project!
Today's QUICK AND EASY ART is a lion!
This is perfect to use on a bulletin board for March on Idioms "In like a lion, out like a lamb!"
Directions:
Best on white construction paper.
Paint the fingers of the child's hand orange, but only paint the four fingers.
Have them press their hand down on the paper.
Turn the paper 90 degrees for them, repaint and repress!
Turn again, repaint, repress.
Turn one last time, repaint their hand again, press one last time.
When dry, glue on a yellow circle for the lion's face.
Then draw two eyes or use two wiggle eyes.
Use a little brown triangle with one side rounded for the nose and then draw the mouth.
Glue on the whiskers, depending on the age, these are best precut by a volunteer or classroom paraprofessional.

  1. Very cute! I'm going to save these directions and hopefully do this with my 7 and 3 year old daughters. :)
