Organizing Your Student's Weekly Work

My Weekly Folders
Organization is the difference between a good teacher and a great teacher!
It is the difference between a great teacher and an excellent teacher because you are not wasting your time & energy looking for things!
My folders are plain, simple and easy enough for a sub to figure out in a hurry if she needs them! Our students' math books are consumable and they keep them in their desks. I use the folders to organize our math warm up pages and anything extra we might need that day. On Wednesday our school sends home a "Wednesday Folder" with everything important and all our graded work. It is dark green, so I actually use one {behind the yellow Wednesday file folder} to hold my graded papers, weekly progress reports and anything else that I am sending home that day. That way you are not wasting instructional time trying to find where you left everything!
On Friday, or sometimes even Thursday afternoon, it takes less then five minutes to slip everything into the folders for next week! I love it, especially when there is a problem at my morning duty station and the students and I come in late....everything is there and ready to roll!
